Standing against a backdrop of rolling hills Crathes Castle is part of the National Trust for Scotland and is set within its own glorious gardens.
This rural retreat is situated just 15 miles from Aberdeen city centre and is steeped in history.
It offers a great day out for all the family and help planning your day if you have a disability is available via their detailed Accessibility Guide to assist with your visit.
Early in 2022 Crathes Castle took delivery of 2 MT Push all terrain wheelchairs which are available for visitors to borrow to help explore the outdoor space and gardens.
The MT Push is an attendant style off-road wheelchair designed to travel with ease and comfort over a variety of uneven terrain – the braking and steering takes place by the ‘pusher’ using the handle located behind the rider. Having these available at Crathes Castle will make days out more inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
