USA Mountain Trike distributor to attend Houston, Abilities Expo

Our USA distributor Spokes’n Motion will be attending the Abilities Expo in Houston, Texas.  The Expo takes place from July 31 – Aug 2 at the NRG Center in Houston. Paul and his team from Spokes’n Motion will be on hand with the Trike demo model to answer any queries and you can test ride the Mountain Trike at the Expo. The Expo is the go-to source for the community of people with disabilities, their families, seniors, veterans and healthcare professions. Head to booth 532 and check out the awesome all-terrain manual wheelchair with unique lever drive system that allows the rider to travel in ease over any surface with clean hands!  There will be a special show offer on the display Mountain Trike model. New Mountain Trike Experience Centre in Norfolk Potential Mountain Trike customers wanting a demonstration in the East of England can now visit Open Trails who operate from the Norfolk Coastal Centre for Independent Life (NCCFIL) and have just become an approved Mountain Trike Experience Centre. The NCCFIL offers the local community a one stop destination for independent living in Norfolk and Suffolk. Supported by a dedicated team of volunteers the purpose build ‘Independent’ Living Centre provides non biased support on equipment and local services.   The Coastal Centre has designated demonstration areas laid out to provide a realistic setting to view equipment and accessories.  The service is supported by local Occupational Therapists who assist the volunteers with training to demonstrate equipment effectively. The Mountain Trike Company who manufactures manual all-terrain wheelchairs has recently secured a distributor in a new territory – Australia. Push Mobility who are located in Melbourne but also have premises in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Broome and Hobart.  Push Mobility are dedicated to providing disability equipment that is fun, exciting and pushes the boundaries of what disability equipment should be with an aim to help facilitate a healthy and more social way of life. Tyres – recommendation for your Mountain Trike wheelchair

Just like any other form of vehicles with wheels the tyres on your Mountain Trike will eventually get worn down and need changing.  It depends on how many miles you clock up and the type of riding you do as to how often these will need changing – but you’ll be able to gauge this. The knobbly tyres offer better off-road performance and puncture protection, so once the treads start to wear down it is time to think about getting a new set of tyres.  The Trike wheels are 24″ we don’t tend to keep stock and the quickest and cheapest option would be to order direct from an online bike shop. We recommend  Schwalbe tyres,  they are a lot lighter (almost 1kg a pair!) than the Halo tyres we’ve previously used so great for rolling and easier in transport too and still offer amazing puncture protection.
