Box Hill National Trust has become number 10 – the tenth site to take delivery of their own MT Push all terrain wheelchair – allowing all visitors, no matter ability, access to explore the Surrey hills.
Forming part of the North Downs, Box Hill has views across the surrounding countryside. It’s home to lots of wildlife and plants too, including the Adonis blue butterfly and bee orchid.
Box Hill National Trust has a very impressive outdoor centre which is where the MT Push is kept and hired out from. There is also a shop and cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Mobility parking is available and paths along to the viewpoint are accessible.
With many varied self guided trails, stunning views and a natural play trail there is plenty on offer for all members of the family to enjoy.
The MT Push is available to use free of charge to help access the National Trust site, normal admission fees apply.
The MT Push has been designed to travel over uneven ground – providing rider comfort. The push handle located behind the rider is where the steering and braking takes place by the riders friend or family member – it is very easy to use. Further product info and user feedback can be found, here.
